Hi Friends and Family. As most of you know by now, Todd and I are having a baby! I know, I know...we didn't waste any time getting here considering we're still newlyweds but we couldn't be more excited to start our family.
A few of my good friends from college have kept online journals of their pregnancies and I've decided to follow in their footsteps. Living so far away it was fun for me to keep up with the changes they were going through and also feel a little bit closer to them. Hopefully you will feel the same way.
Right now I'm about 13 weeks pregnant. Supposedly the little guy (or gal) is about the size of a jumbo shrimp. Earlier this week we were able to hear the heartbeat which was incredible. As we were waiting for the doctor I remember telling Todd that sometimes I didn't really believe I was pregnant (even though I had all of the obvious symptoms and the doctors had, in fact, confirmed it). Well, if there was any doubt it was gone as soon as I heard that little heartbeat. 154 beats per minute with a few kicks thrown in here and there - that was pretty amazing.

congratulations! what a great suprise to hear! :)
Congrats Sarah & Todd! Gary and I were thrilled to hear the news from your Mom and Dad! Now we can each chat about our grandchildren as often as we like. Take care and will look forward to updates! YOu look fabulous, by the way and I loved the wedding shots your Mom sent to me. Love, Ginger & GAry
154 beats? That is a great number, Sarah... and kicking? Fabulous.
I can already tell this baby is going to be intelligent and cool, just by its sense of the rhythm alone...
We could not be more thrilled for you both. Grandma and Grandpa Mann are beside themselves with joy, as you can well imagine. Last night, in fact, the four of us were focusing on a lime, named "Buddy", that Stephan and I were told was the size of your baby! Shows what we do on a Saturday night together - oh dear! Enjoy, enjoy every moment! Susan and Stephan Stubits
As goofy grandparents-to-be we look forward to every wonderful detail of Baby Youngs' anticipated arrival :) p.s. Our bags are packed
Yeay! Congrats again! I am so excited that you have started a blog. I can't wait to hear about all of the developments and to see your belly grow! Enjoy every minute of being pregnant!
We are so happy for you.
I loved being pregnant and it's so much fun to dream, think and plan ...
We can't wait to see your little one so very soon. Time will fly and please enjoy your sleep, best advice we can give you. (-:
Yippee! Thanks for creating this blog. I already subscribed to your RSS feed (I'm alerted whenever you post!) I wish I could be around to see your cute belly grow each week. You'll have to post pics. Enjoy the second trimester. It's the best!
We love you, Sweetheart! There is absolutely nothing to match the joy of sharing each day of this growing baby you and Todd created - a new person wholly different from either of you, but from you! Stay healthy, send Todd out on errands to pick up pickles or other cravings, and enjoy, enjoy!!! Love, Jeannette Grandma Feeheley
